How are the slender, silky carbon fibers made? Let's take a look at the following pictures and texts Carbon fiber processing process
1, The cutting
The prepreg material (Prespang) is taken out from the cold storage at minus 18 degrees centigrade, after being calcined, the first step is to cut the material accurately according to the cutting diagram in the automatic cutting machine.
2, The shop is stuck
The second step is to lay the prepreg on the paving tooling, and lay different layers according to the design requirements. All the processes are carried out under the laser positioning.
3, Molding
Through the automatic handling robot, the preformed material is sent to the molding machine for molding (PCM). At present, Wat can make molding in 5-10 minutes. With 800-1000 ton press, it can shape all kinds of large workpieces.
4, Cutting
After forming, the workpiece is sent to the cutting robot workstation for the fourth step of cutting and deburring to ensure the dimensional accuracy of the workpiece. The process can also be operated on CNC.
5, Cleaning
The fifth step is dry ice cleaning at the cleaning station to remove the release agent, which is convenient for the post-gluing process.
6, Glue
The sixth step is to make structural glue at the position of the gluing robot. The gluing position, the gluing speed and the amount of gluing have been adjusted accurately. Some of the connecting parts with metal parts are riveted at the riveting station.
7. Assembly Testing
After the glue is applied, the inner and outer plates are assembled, and the blue light detection is carried out after the glue is solidified to ensure the dimensional accuracy of the key holes, points, lines and surfaces.
Carbon fiber is the king of new materials because it is stronger and lighter. Because of this advantage, carbon fiber reinforced composites (CFRP) in the process of processing, the matrix and fiber have more complex internal interaction, which makes the physical properties of CFRP are very different from the metal, the density of CFRP is far less than the metal, but the strength of CFRP is greater than most metals. Due to the inhomogeneity of CFRP, fiber pull-out or matrix fiber detachment often occurs during processing. CFRP has high heat resistance and wear resistance, so it has higher requirements on equipment in the process of processing. Therefore, a large amount of cutting heat generated in the production process will cause serious equipment wear.
