Basalt fiber is one of the four major high-performance fibers developed in my country, and is identified as a key strategic material by the state together with carbon fiber.
Basalt fiber is made of natural basalt ore, melted at a high temperature of 1450℃~1500℃, and then quickly drawn through platinum-rhodium alloy wire drawing bushings. “Industrial material”, known as a new type of environmentally friendly fiber that “turns a stone into gold” in the 21st century.
Basalt fiber has excellent properties of high strength, high and low temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, heat insulation, sound insulation, compressive flame retardant, anti-magnetic wave transmission, and good electrical insulation.
Basalt fiber can be made into basalt fiber products with different functions through various processes such as chopping, weaving, acupuncture, extrusion, and compounding.
