Methods for improving the stability of fiberglass drawing and forming

1. Improve the temperature uniformity of the leakage plate
Optimize the design of the funnel plate: make sure that the creep deformation of the bottom plate under high temperature is less than 3~5 mm. according to different types of fibers, reasonably adjust the aperture diameter, aperture length, aperture spacing and the bottom structure of the funnel plate, in order to improve the uniformity of temperature distribution.
Setting suitable parameters of the funnel plate: set the temperature at the bottom of the funnel plate to make it more uniform, so as to improve the intrinsic quality of the raw fiberglass.
2. Control surface tension
Adjust the parameters that affect the tension:
Leakage hole diameter: reduce the diameter of the leakage hole can reduce the drafting ratio, thus reducing the tension.
Drawing temperature: in the appropriate temperature range to increase the drawing temperature, can reduce the tension.
Drawing speed: the drawing speed is directly proportional to the tension, reducing the drawing speed can effectively reduce the stress.
Coping with high speed drawing: In order to increase production, high speed drawing is usually used, which will increase the tension. The increased tension can be partially offset by increasing the leakage plate temperature or by forced cooling of the filament roots.
3. Increase cooling
Cooling method:
Initial cooling relies heavily on radiation, with convection dominating away from the leak. Cooling plays a key role in the stability of fiber drawing and forming.
Adjustment of cooling water, spray water and air conditioning air and other media to improve cooling efficiency.
Adjustment of cooling fins: The cooling fins are located between the fibers a few millimeters below the funnel plate and can be moved vertically or tilted at an adjustable angle to change the radiative cooling of the fibers, helping to locally regulate the temperature distribution of the funnel plate.
Optimization of spray water: Reduce the particle size of the spray water and increase the amount of vaporized water, thus absorbing more radiant heat. The form of the nozzle, the installation, the water penetration ability and the amount of spray has an important impact on the cooling of the original silk and reduce the temperature of the space.
Setting of air-conditioning wind: Reasonable setting of the air-conditioning wind blowing direction and angle, to avoid the uneven temperature of the air around the leakage plate to be sucked into the negative pressure area, so as to maintain the stability of the wire drawing process.
Through the above measures, the stability of the fiberglass drawing process can be effectively improved, thus enhancing the quality of the final product.
